My status moved to nearly there on 25 October. Got word today will be ready next Wednesday. Seems like it’s been ages!

Just got a phone call from the dealer about the GTi PP I ordered two weeks ago... confirmed build week start of December for delivery around the New Year. Pot luck I guess!

Your dealer obviously has a cancelled build slot, hence he was able to change it, but maintain the slot.

That sounds about right because the original build week was 4 of next year so considerable time saving!

Mine is supposed to be built this week. It was provisional week 5 when I ordered it 30th Sept. it changed to confirmed production 21st Oct and has stayed there ever since. Dealer has got mine down for a Q4 sale so don’t think they would have necessarily filled a cancelled order slot for mine as I have stated all along I don’t want it until Mar 1st 2018 and they were fine with this.

Mine has finally arrived in Grimsby ...been told by dealer delivery should be in 2weeks depending clearance from Grimsby and transport ..if the 18 days it sat in Emden is an indicator wont have it before 2019  :angry:

Hi all,

Just joined and thought I'd say hello. I placed an order for a dealer specified fro a slow they had free next month for a GTI 230, DSG, Indium Grey, no frills. They've given a provisional build week 50 (wk of 11/12), fingers crossed they confirm date soon, cannot wait!

Reassuring hearing the experiences you're all having with your orders, hopefully, mine will follow a similar course.

Welcome Toby and good choice of car and colour. I will be taking delivery of my Indium Grey GTI 230 DSG this weekend and can't wait. Only other option I got were the 19" Brescia alloys which are worth every penny to me.
