Mine left Grimsby on Friday according to online chat. Arrived there on Monday afternoon so seems to take as few days to get processed there. Not exactly sure where it is now but would imagine maybe hitting the dealers tomorrow hopefully.
thanks bud...so frustrating others on here with same build week on here had cars at dealers last week...why such a massive difference ..Ive seen 3 transporters leave Emden for Grimsby since mine arrived there ...would have bet the house mine would have been on one !

They can wait for up to two weeks in Emden to be assigned - although normally is faster than this. Also bear in mind that it may not be going to Grimsby! I was checking all the Grimsby headed ships, then was told that mine had left on a ship bound for Sheerness!
Mine's been confirmed as at the dealers, but the person i've been speaking to is on annual leave this week  still hasn't been 'checked in' by them, but hopefully will be hearing more soon!!

Your not in my good books Tom ...cant believe you had same build week and yours is here ..!!

So jealous ...Ps ..cant believe your dealership hasn't pulled finger ...surely more than 1 person can process the paperwork ? was on VW chat for the 98th time yesterday and got the 96th different answer ...car can be in Emden 14days instead of 10...then 14 days in the UK...anyone know the facts as every different ad visor gives me different info...

Have spoken to dealership again and have it confirmed will be picking up next week     - not because they can't sort out the paperwork, but because the person I have been speaking to is the one that has to do the handover!!
I spoke to my dealer after it was built - I.e. 25th October and they told me it normally takes 4-5 weeks - obviously mine has gone through faster than usual for some reason!?!? :whistle:not complaining though
Regarding waiting delays, I was told to allow up to 14 days at Emden - was actually only three so keep checking  - and then when it had arrived I chased again and they said usually takes a full 14 days to arrive at the dealer once the ship has landed - again this was totally wrong as mine was turned round within 72 hours! Doubt it should be more than 4 weeks once it's built to you picking it up/delivery though - although may be proved wrong!

if you are in London, is your car not sailing to Sheerness? Mine went to Swindon dealers, and came through Sheerness.

Your build week was 23rd Oct, which is 2 weeks after mine was, so another 2 weeks to wait might not be unusual. here is the full list of dates i got. It took 12 days to get from Sheerness to Swindon. I could have walked quicker.

Hi Rich ,

No mine is through a dealer in Birmingham as used a mate as a contact so its getting delivered to them and im going to pick it up .

You timings look "normal" ..mines been in Port of exit since the the 27th ..Dealer told me storms affected transports to everywhere but Grimbsy ..So i said so how is that my problem that the port of entry correct ..."oh yes, your right" ...dumbarse reply ...so mines been in prot 10 days ...just check now and now ship assigned and yet the Wesser Highway has done 6 trips to and from Emden to Grimsby ...So i honestly proper  P@£$$ now as I feel im getting messed about ....have to arrange sale of old car ...leave on holiday for 2 weeks in 3 weeks then its basically xmas ...

Mine reached stage 7 "Nearly there" today or maybe yesterday. Assume that means its at the dealers, strange thing is that through the whole process the website tracker link has been quicker to update, the app has been very slow and sometimes jumped a couple of stages as it was so far behind. however now the app shows stage 7 and the website still stage 6, all a bit odd.

My salesman is off today so haven't got confirmation its there but must be. Would like to collect on Saturday if it can be ready but I'm keen to have my cherished reg on for collection and not sure if they have the reg cert back yet, it was being registered end of last week when I signed the finance docs.
