Current delivery times?

was just chatting to vw chat and was told i have a confirmed build date of 2nd oct.. not soon enough but better than last weeks chat to my dealer who said week 46 i think it was which was 18th nov.. was advised 2weeks to build 4-6 weeks until delivery.. so feeling happeir for sure    ordered end of june..

Wow, I must of got lucky then as I only confirmed and paid the deposit 8th July, and I'm collecting the car tomorrow 8th September.

Just put in an order for a 7.5 in Tornado red. Is the general view that certain options or configurations increase build time? I'm new to performance cars so thought I'd start with a standard manual GTI, 5 Door no options so am I facing the best chance of a quicker build time, or is it just wishful thinking?

Sometimes manual can be the sticking point or even something from the UK base build (eg led headlights or 18's or whatever)

I placed my order, July 14th. Found out today that it's due for build end of October.

That's a 5dr, DSG, PP. Tornado Red, leather, Dynaudio, Rear Camera, Rear Tints.

Should be early December delivery I guess?

Yeah, I'm guessing (and the dealer guessed when I ordered) it would be around Christmas.

Annoyingly the dealer thought they may be able to get one that was in the country already (base spec in red obviously is going to be fairly popular) but they've not been able to get hold of one, so they should've put the order through yesterday.  I'm not all that patient but it'll be worth waiting for.
