i've just rang the dealer my build week has now gone from week 36--38 to 45 which takes it to the 18th november.. feeling a bit peed off as order went in at the end of june...

Seeing your comment, I thought I would see if my build week changed and it has. I originally had an unconfirmed build week 38 which slipped to week 39.

Having just gone on live chat I have now been advised that it has been pushed back to build week 47 and that advisor suggested I would not get the car until January. I order at the beginning of July, I never expected to not get the car until next year!

On order - GTi-PP, Deep Black, 5dr, DSG, Art Velour interior, Keyless, Brescia Wheels

I received an email this afternoon saying that my delivery has slipped two weeks.

So it's now last week Oct build, so with the dealer perhaps end Nov.  Order was placed mid-July.

Apparently delays affecting GTIs and Rs.

On order: 7.5 230 PS, 3 door, DSG.  Pearl black with heated screen, Dynaudio & reverse camera.

Interesting, what's the reason for the delays?
Lack of engines?
Lack of other GTI specific parts?

I'd guess it was just a surge in sales after the 7.5 was actually in showrooms.

Not effecting the gtd because nobody loves an oil burner any more :'(

I spoke to my dealer yesterday to see if he had an update on my provisional wk40 BW and he said it had come in to wk39. I ordered at the start of July (5th). Hopefully that won't have changed when I next speak to him.
Picked up 03/Nov/2017 - GTi-P, White silver, 5dr., Manual with extras

i thought i'd join the forum to share the pain.

i ordered a no frills manual GTI 7th August. Isaac Blue for what it's worth.

two weeks ago the estimated build week was 42 - 16th October. It is now 41. I asked online if delays were affecting DSG models only, but they 'couldn't comment on specifics'.
2012 Mk5 Polo 1.2 TSI - Deep Black Pearl
2015 Mk7 Golf 1.4 TSI - Carmen Red
2017 Mk7.5 Golf 2.0 TSI GTI - Isaac Blue / No Frills
202? Mk8 Golf 2.0 TSI GTI - Moonstone Grey / Sunroof / Winter Pack

that's not too bad, mine was ordered 6weeks before yours and my build week is 4 weeks after you..  no idea how they work it out at their end :( lol

The delivery times must be based on the specs of the cars.  Not a lot you can do really, just spec the car you want and wait

Interesting seeing some of the comments complaining of long waiting times. When you reach 20 weeks plus then you're waiting, 11 and 12 weeks isn't a wait.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.
