Current delivery times?

Ordered my GTi DSG at start of July and dealer talked of build week 38 mid September. Was on the chat today as app was still just showing with the factory. She gave me an unconfirmed build week of 41 mid October and said it previously was showing week 45. Doesn't sound like I will have my GTi any time soon. Quite ridiculous to have to wait so long for a standard volume car, my Porsche was a long wait but that's because of low allocation to the uk.

Hiya - mine was ordered either last week in April or first week in May - can't remember exactly from Crewe VW.

The my VW app has just updated my build week 30 order to status 6, arrived in the UK.  Won't be collecting it until the new reg but nice to know she's here

And today it's updated to in transit to dealership, so looks like it's gonna be less than 10 days from build to forecourt!

It was ordered through DTD on the 12th May but if I'm honest I don't think the dealer processed order until half way through the following week so around the 17th.  Just over 10 weeks to dealer when I was quoted 16-18 weeks originally.

I have had the same with the App not moving off step two 'with factory' but asking on chat today and they said I currently have a proposed build week 38. Having never previously bought a new car it's going to be a long wait to get the car. The misses is already fed of me talking about it!
Sure it will be worth though.

Bit of a lurker her for a while but first post.

I got exactly the same message off 'Stephen' yesterday with an alleged build date of next week. Dealer is saying delivery September so it may be true. I ordered mid May

Got a message from my dealer this morning to say that the car was expected to be delivered today.

So 14 weeks.

There was 1 week delay before the system accepted the order - a problem with options. Then there was a 3 week factory holiday.

Update on live chat and my new golf is sitting at the port in Emden 

So that was 6 days from beginning of manufacture to sitting at the port awaiting allocation to a boat.

The excitement is growing day by day !

Apparently my car has been built and is awaiting final inspection 

Guy at VW said about 4 weeks from this point to delivery, hopefully it will be sooner?

Likewise - mines been at the port since 04/08/17. I had a quick look at ships in dock (car transporters) and found the Makassar Highway due to get into Sherness 09/08/17. Could that be the one?? How sad has my life become 😂
