I spoke to VW today via online chat as I know they are often able to see a more recent update than the tracker displays, according to them I'm still build week 30 confirmed so I've not jumped the queue.  Oh well....

I ordered my Gti PP on 23rd May, originally build wk 30 confirmed, it arrived in the U.K. On Tuesday 4th July. I'm just waiting on the phone call from the dealer to say it's ready now

I'm planning on buying using PCP (and maybe cancel at a later date) but just noticed that 'The Golf Event' is running from 7th-24th July which now offers a £1500 contribution. I'll ask the dealer if I'm eligible for the new finance contribution when I sign the paperwork, but has anyone been in this position where the offers have changed between ordering and collecting the car? If so did you get the new deal?

What is the most recent order to delivery time?
I'm just about to order and I wanted to guestimate delivery times.

I want it as 67, so after 1st September anyway, but am I looking at October? November?

my build week is now number 38 :(  order placed 10days ago, dealer recons mid octobe bfore i get my hands on her...

i've just been to my dealer and asked about this extra 2 services and £500, he said they don't normally do it, but in the t&cs it says you have to take delivery of your car before the end of september and place the order between the dates. apparently its their way of getting rid of stock.. so if you pushed for it you might be able to but tbh not sure. but good luck trying :)

Just had a call from my broker who I ordered the car through. So ordered on 10th May and collecting on 17th July  . Only downside is its costing £450 to have it transported up

I've also noticed that the base price of the GTI has increased too just as this increased deposit contribution has been announced.

The base price of the 230 5 door DSG GTI has gone up £400 since what it was when I ordered mine. So at best you're only missing out on £250 tops. £100 there and can still get the first 2 services for £149.

Obviously if you can get them to honour the new deal it's better. But if not it's not the end of the world.
