Current delivery times?

Just ordered a 7.5 GTI Performance Pack from Lookers in Newcastle. They matched the online price and the delivery time quoted was 12-16 weeks. I'm coming from a Seat Leon Fr184 and was going to buy a Cupra 300 - I prefer the look of the Cupra but I don't want 19" wheels and the quality of the Golf is far higher. The Leon was £2500 cheaper online but the depreciation is horrendous.

As above I agree with the quality the Fr is a nice looking car but what let's it down as you stated was build quality and quality of cheap plastics inside the dash is horrendous the door cards are plastic and the steering wheels ain't even leather so yeah yeah Golf way out weighs the seat....

I totally agree that picking it up yourself is the way to do it. This is my second Golf through DTD so first time I had to drive it back from Liverpool to South Wales. It's a fair trip but at least you get to know your car a bit. This time I got stuck on the M25 for a couple of hours so got to know it real well.

I read that and thought feck me, you got the car in Liverpool and drove to South Wales and got stuck in traffic on the M25, that's some detour on the way home

Now that would be a journey 
The Liverpool trip was 2014 when I picked up my GTI, the M25 experience was last month when I picked my R up.
It might be less distance than the Liverpool but still took longer.

Managed to get my order number from lex today so I could track it on the VW tracker. Ordered at the beginning of April and it has a build date of the 22/05/2017. Should it list my extras under the "my car" section. I've only specd metallic paint and the dynaudio system but the only info it gives colour and upholstery?

The VW tracker you quote, is that the my VW app?

No, the tracker doesn't list all of the options, you just get model and colour and maybe upholstery.

The wait for a confirmed build date is a nightmare - last week 24/7/17, todays echat update 31/07/17 (week 31).
