MK7 LED rear lights
« on: 06 April 2017, 20:08 »
Hi

Ive just purchased some 2014 GTI rear LED tail lights for my 2014 2.0 GT TDI and im just after some info.

Ive read abit about them online etc but im still not 100% what to expect.

If i literally remove my ones and just plug and play what am i to expect, warning lights ? What wont work etc and also

To get them to work ive read about a soldered wire on the plug to allow full LED and then i would have to run a cable from the boot light all the way to the outer light.

Again this was from old posts from a few years ago so does this still stand or is there a harness i can buy ?

Any info would be great before i fit them

Thanks in advance

This the thread I was using when I was going to fit leds to my wife's MK7 Golf R-Line:  http://www.golfmk7.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2552  The kufatec wiring looms are here:  https://www.kufatec.co.uk/shop/en/volkswagen/golf/golf-7-5q/additional-lines-led-taillights-vw-golf-7

As it happens I have a set of unused kufatec looms as the led lights I ordered from Ebay for the R-Line were incomplete so I sent them back for a refund and I didn't buy another set.  If I can find them and you want them - £12 posted.
