I believe they've stopped building new ones now and they're from stock only so I don't think there'll be many more than 700.

Thanks, I'm really pleased with the colour; my last GTI was Pearl Black (or something like that?) and I very nearly chose black again. Just the black roof on this one now.

Mine is number 704 (built in late December and registered 2 March) - the numbers seem to be all over the place - the highest I'm aware of is 706.  Re. total numbers made for the UK, hopefully we will be able to find out eventually - maybe one of our friendly VW dealer forum members can ask VWUK for us?
