Harness Options
« on: 03 October 2005, 10:04 »
Right, Ive got the seats, The rollcage should be on order soon so the next step will be harnesses. Im leaning more towards some Cobra Three point harnesses as they as there safe but also practical. Ive found a pair fairly cheap on E-bay, Just having trouble on deciding what colour to go for.

^^ what the harneeses look like when un-folded.

There are three choices, Red (probally not), Blue (matches the seats) Or Black (nice n subtle). Im having a morning of in-decisivness so im asking for your oppinions, Blue so it matches the seats (see image below) or Black so they match the rest of the car.

have actually been thinking of some new interior lighting for the mk4, as the dials are as standard a nice blue and red i was kinda thinking blue bulbs in the center light and map lights, and a not to gay red neon in each of the front foot wells, all out of sight, and wouldnt be done cheesey and they go with the already from the factory lighted theme of the car...

obviously it has to be black.. it goes with everything!!  one 3 point harnesses where would you put the 3rd point? thee mounthing bracket towards the centre of the rear seat? im presuming its not the one to the left hand side near wheel (lookin into back seat, and using drivers side harness)

Lookin at my mates harnesses and where the mountn brackets are from rear belts wouldn't 3 point be twisted n one direction?as teh harness point at the rear seat doesn't mak a straught triagle!? hope it makes sense!?
