Mk8 Golf
« on: 27 March 2017, 17:34 »
Yes, its coming... either in 2018 or 2019 depending on which paragraph of this you read:

http://www.autoexpress.co.uk/volkswagen/golf/89538/new-vw-golf-mk8-still-top-priority-for-volkswagen

Time to cancel that Mk7.5 order methinks
Current: Mk8 GTI DSG, Adelaides, DCC, HUD, HK, Winter Pack, Rear Camera.. Aka "HMS Weasel"

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro
Gone: 2014 Mk7 GTD, manual, NavPro, DCC

It mentions the facelift is due in 2018, not the mk8. Auto Express is like 'The Sun' of the motor magazine world, they just run stories with photoshopped pictures and pass them off as fact.

I'll believe it when VW announce it

Although the Mk7 Golf has had a facelift, the new car – due in 2018 – will build on this.

I agree with your sentiments, but I was really just taking the mick out of those saying "don't get a Mk7.5, the Mk8 is coming" :D

That flew straight over my head! Apologies for that, I'm grumpy because I need food
