never knew this "gti edition" existed..  the plates are Polish

The badge I have came from a brand new golf that I was doing a PDI on , it had a normal GTI badge on one side and the GTI EDITION badge on the other,the sales manager wanted it replaced with the standard GTI  badge. ( To good not to use I thought )
I realize it's from Poland but I haven't found any Official trace on the web of the GTI EDITION mk3s apart from ;

yes I have that GTI EDITION badges on side trims......in Germany all mk3 with 2.0 8v engine produced in `94 is EDITION my car also is from germany
