Ahhhh mine's been wrongly down as a "launch" then, best go get that changed!
Now there is a facelift GTI 230hp non-pp. This is going to get confused.com

Bought mine in September 2015 which is the Facelift model, non-pp but mine has a radar....
... errrrrrh

If you bought a 2015 car it will be a Mk7 GTI 220hp. (not launch, not PP, not facelift)

See how its getting confusing!

It's not that confusing. Mk7 GTI launched early 2013, the very first production cars used for media and car journalists didn't have the front radar hence insurance was greater and model was known as launch edition by insurance companies. When mainstream GTI's rolled off the production line in June/July 13 they did have the radar and insurance premiums were cheaper.

Jump forward to 2017 and the new facelift GTI has now been released and are just starting to hit the showrooms
