It's faux leather I think not real but still a nice upgrade. Sorry for the quality of pictures they are just off the phone I've not took any snaps on my camera yet.

It'll be exactly the same as the bolsters / armrest / door cards as a car with "vienna" leather fitted. i.e. "pleather".

They do look quite nice but they also make the interior of car look like a lower spec model with optional seats imo.
The tartan seats are one of my favourite things about the GTI.

Looks the opposite to me, I'm really not a fan of the tartan seats which is why I ticked the Art Velours box for my GTI. I couldn't justify the cost of leather and as my last four cars have had leather I fancied a change anyway.

Art Velour seats are one of the options I have ticked. They should look even better in the GTI with the red piping and stitching. Though I am still not sure. It is £750 just for car seats :undecided:

The tartan in my GTD is quite subtle. The though of red tartan seats in the GTI did not appealed to me. The pictures of them don't look that good either. However, after sitting in a GTI, they are not that bad. Certainly something I could live with for the sake of £750.

Edit: the Art Velour seats and keyless are 2 extras I could certainly live without. Though I think they will make the car feel that little bit more special.

I know these things are personal but the tartan seats are one of the things that to me make the GTI interior feel special. As for your comment above about it being £750 just for car seats, it's actually £750 for different seat covers, you've already paid for the seats!

Same is true of loads of the swap out options.

Does a solid red paint cost a few hundred quid more than a solid purple? I'd be surprised if the red wasn't actually cheaper as a paint.

Is there a £1100 extra cost for 19's over 18's? Its more, but its not £1100 - that's probably the actual cost to them for the 19's plus tyres.

Its these places where they make a killing - not so much when its adding something (eg reversing camera or dynamic lighting)
