I picked mine up from the Inchcape group. VW dealers around Manchester(ish). Under 6k mileage,3 door, dsg PP for £20,999. I had a look over the weekend and they still have some cracking deals on.
Also there is one for sale on the forum,65 plate with tons of extras for £19,999.

Thanks - seen that, looks like a stunning example... Alas it's 3 door and I need a 5 door for future proofing.

I went out with a friend of mine on Saturday in his M135i and infectious as the noise, the extra 100bhp and RWD is, it's quite a dull place to sit and be in.

Worst of all IMO, is that looking head on at the BMW, there's next to nothing to distinguish it from a 116d, apart from the silver wing mirrors.

Unless I'm mistaken, cruise on BM is a very basic version, unless you pay more. not adaptive like on VW.

You can have adaptive cruise on the 1 series, but it costs an arm and a leg. Its also only available on auto boxes - but a 140i is auto only I think.
Current: Mk8 GTI DSG, Adelaides, DCC, HUD, HK, Winter Pack, Rear Camera.. Aka "HMS Weasel"

Gone: 2017 Mk7.5 GTD,manual, NavPro

It is part of a pack, none of which are cheap. I looked at a 125d M sport when deciding on my next car and I had it for 4 days as an extended test drive. I covered around 200 miles in it and dropped it back the day after I got it. It was not something I could comfortably drive, the dash wasn't nice and epically the nav bit sticking up

Its quite pricey for a 2nd hand one especially as it will be a Mk7 not a 7.5, you could do drive the deal and probably buy new for the same with a three year warranty (VW warranty is not transferable)

BUT you can't get a Mk7.5 GTI PP yet. No date even for the start of them in the UK.

I take it the "Not" transferable is a typo? As its the car that's covered for 3 years or up to 60,000

To the OP, that kind of spec with Leather which is expensive and 19"s and Dicover Pro sat Nav is £27,650 from Drive the deal.
Drop the leather and it takes it to £26,098 which is not that far off what you were looking at 2nd hand.
Although as fredgroves has pointed out, there is no sign of it. It may very well be like the MK7 and not appear for a while, if at all.

That's right and from the side it looks even worse! Utterly hideous.  And according to Clarkson you can't transport a nuclear warhead in the back and rear seat passengers need their legs cutting off before they can get in.  Then there's the image

The standard warranty is fully tranferable, even the factory extended warranty is full transferable (you will have to get in touch with VW UK to make them aware of ownership change).
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

I never knew that about the warranty - I just assumed it wasn't transferable as I thought Kia were the only ones who let you do that...
