I like those BBS wheels but having tungsten silver it may be a bit much and I think I'd lose the colour of the wheels against the car.

Na...I think the SR's would look stunning on any colour MK7 but then I would say that...

Have a google and see if there are pics out there with tungsten and SR combo, I'm sure there is.

Go on you know you want to...

Hope you don't mind RDC but seeing your pics of the SR's fitted yesterday it really made me want to wax mine again. Obviously it was to kill time too.

So here they are with the wax on them. There's no pics of them all buffed up as I didn't have time to take pics due to me having to pick my little man up from nursery but rest ashored they are.

Even with them pictured not buffed up they still look like a awesome looking wheel.

That's just my biased opinion.

Biased opinion or not Mr GTD, I agree; they are a really nice looking wheel, and they'll be really easy to clean too. Just need the car now to put them on . Not too much longer to wait though!

^^^ Yes I found waxing them a doddle so cleaning them shouldn't be any bother.

Looking good Mr GTD. I thought I would be all legit and rang my insurance company One Call, to inform them of the change. I currently pay about £500 full comp per annum and they wanted to increase my premium to over £1000 !!!! They also said there would be a cancellation charge of £50 odd if I were to cancel. I went to a insurance comparison site and found a similar rate to my original insurance spoke to them and no extra for aftermarket wheels. Now cancelled with One Call but there saying the cancellation charge is now £160 which I am disputing the bunch of tos**rs.

An additional £500 premium is taking the p!55. When I changed the wheels on my mk6 GTD my insurer didn't charge an additional premium. When I changed them on my current car (Polo GTI), the same insurer charged me an additional annual charge of £18.

Insurers are entitled to charge an admin fee for cancellation, but the fee must be 'reasonable' in relation to the work they need to do to cancel your insurance. IMO, £160 is not reasonable and I'd be asking them to justify it. The cost to them of processing your cancellation must be significantly less than £160. I'd also check the small print in your policy document to see what it says regarding mid term cancellation and admin charges; I suspect it'll be quite non-specific and say they are entitled to charge an admin fee without stating what the fee is.

Thanks

That's a crazy amount to charge esp as you went down a inch.

Hope you are successful in your dispute.
