Aftermarket exhausts for GTI
« on: 26 January 2017, 18:00 »
Anyone on here put an aftermarket exhaust on their GTI and would you recommend?

I quite like the look of Akrapovic although not the look of the price tag!

The "slip on" (catback) is £1600

You start then going for the likes of BCS, Milltek, Cobra, Scorpion and APR

The quality on the Akras is in a different league all depends how deep you pockets are

Dont really want to go for a full system. Just unsure if 1.6k for a cutback is worth it.

How about a Clubsport system? Apparently gives a bit more sound if that's what you're after?

Got a Remus axle back on mine and love it, zero drone and doesn't sound like the Corsa down McDonalds.

Has anyone tried a clubsport exhaust on their gti yet? I would like a bit more noise myself but want to keep it as close to oem as possible.
I see you can buy the cs  backbox, is anyone aware if this would have much affect on the noise?

Whilst I am still.loving the car, a bit more noise would increase the enjoyment for me, but I really don't want anything too otters!

I've got a Powerflow catback in the garage that I could be tempted to part with for £250?
