Just heard from the excellent dealer supplying my CSS that there are unregistered Clubsport Edition 40s in stock in the UK now and available at 8% off if registered this month.
Obviously as they are in stock, spec will vary but deal sounds tempting.

PM me for the sales manager's contact details if you are interested.

Just being nosey, but is the 8% a dealer discount or a VW UK discount?  Thanks.

I was told from the sales manager that he'd had a call from VW UK and they were trying to get the numbers up before the end of the year and were able to discount Ed 40 from UK (not dealer group) stock.

How does dealer discount vary from this?

If the discount is coming from VW and not the dealership's margin then perhaps there's scope to squeeze the dealership margin a bit to get some more if they want their sales figures up? Some of those cars might be pretty pricey if they're full of options you'd never add for yourself.

I'm surprised that these aren't more popular - the CS for me would be far more desirable as a daily than the CSS, with a high enough power hike over the standard GTI to forgive having far less discount. They would be far less appealing for me without bucket seats optioned though.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

Thanks to MSR for correcting me.
It is indeed dealer discount, they have been made available to hit new car target for 2016.

If they had a grey 3 door DSG I'd be interested.

How much were they RRP?
