Race Chip Throttle Tuning?

I've seen plenty of discussion on the DTUK pedal box, but does anyone have the Race Chip version?  I've looked on their website and I like the look of the controller, it seems a lot less fussy than the DTUK version, but does it work well?  Here it is:  https://www.racechip.co.uk/accessories/response-control.html

Question is has the throttle control been adjusted by VW to improve response compared to the GTI - you may not need to modify. It makes a huge differs to the GTI. It would be good to hear from owners how the throttle response is on the CS and CSS models compared to GTI/R

On the subject of pedal boxes - can anyone recommend a technique to remove a DTUK pedal box with a broken grey clip? what a PITA.
