All these price hikes due to Brexit are complete bulls4it and total opportunism. Nothing's happened yet so why should prices change!!

Something's happened. Over 50% of people voting decided to f**k off Europe, so the exchange rate is taking quite a plunge and eating up my salary.

There's plenty of stuff made in the UK with wholly UK ingredients that have shot up in price due to corporate opportunism - most recently Unilever having a spat with Tesco over Marmite.

The markets are reactionary panic selling, but the pound has been this low against the Euro during 2008-2011 and the first half of 2013. When the pound has shot up against the Euro and remained up there, we weren't getting cuts on VW UK list prices.

I'm sure the pound is going to continue to head back up when the reactionary money men realise that the world hasn't ended and Europe will still want to trade with us - they just want to be seen to be taking the hard and punishing line to make sure no-one else wants to defect. The Dutch aren't keen on the Euro, they'll likely be next t have a referendum. Just hope it happens before my next foreign holiday!

I don't have access to ebay (at work, site blocked) at the moment but I bought a pair of carbon mirror caps off ebay for around £100 and they look (and fit) well. When I was looking there was only one place doing them, so may be the same?

They look like they are OEM covers with a 'wrap' of carbon fibre bonded into place. Finish is 95% there, only the slightest of blemishes along the edge of the carbon.

As has been said, go easy fitting them (or in my case, removing the old ones) as I managed to scratch the mirror bases when I slipped removing one of the old ones.

At home now and checked again. They're the one's I got.

If I had one complaint on them (which I spotted on the way home), on mine I noticed a little bit of paint had come away next to the edge of the carbon (the top edge stops where the lip on the top of the mirror is) showing the original mirror colour underneath. Simply touched up with a black touch up pen and can no longer be seen.

I'd recommend them for the money.

Edit - just checked the install video for the Deutch ones and they also stop at the same edge as the ebay ones.

Easy Gents,

thanks for the all the replies

Thanks for double checking Gnasher, i had a look a look at loads on eBay an those seemed to me as the most decent ones, i didnt want clip on ones, thats just taking the piss  so after a long hard look, i chose these ones.

i emailed Deautch an they haven't even got back to me, so forget those guys lol, clearly they dont want my money lol

again I'm not really keen on the wrap, it just doesn't do it for me, of course every body has there own opinions about wraps , but think il pass on this occasion
plus I'm willing to give it a try for £100, as Gnasher said they look good so I'm gonna give em a go.

Thanks for the all the feedback peeps,
hope you all have a bless evening
