Ebay or Deautch parts

Easy peeps 
hope everyone is good an is enjoying the weekend

just wanted some opinions,
I want to buy some CF wing mirror caps for the GTI,  iv had a look at a few other posts on other forms regarding this subject an it seems like most of them are buying from the bay of E 
but there are the few that are also buying from a company "deautscheautoparts.com"

iv read from the few posts that the ones from eBay seem good enough an fits really well, compared to the hayness price from "deautscheautoparts.com"

so question is really, do you guys think that its worth paying the extra for something that will hardly ever get noticed, or would you guys say take the eBay option an spend the other £200 on something else??

Why don't you get your caps wrapped? I'm sure it'll be way less expensive than new caps.

I was thinking that to be fair, but one of my mates has got his wrapped an honestly its not my cup of tea 
i think I'm gonna go with the eBay item, dont mind spending £100 on caps, better then spending £300 from Deautshautoparts

Just be careful removing/refitting the caps as you don't want to be breaking any clips and then that's your 100 quid down the drain. I'd still be looking at wrapping.

^^^ Exactly this. I did and broke a clip, the ebay ones are pattern parts and the material is a little brittle and easily snapped (mine are for sale on this site if you want them mega cheap - could be plastic welded). I got mine wrapped for £60 and they look really good:



The ebay ones are also not a perfect fit and would need a bit of effort if you want them just right.

The wrap still does not appeal to me, thanks for the offer though buddy 

well from looking at this add on eBay, it does seem to say that its fits perfect an looking at his feedback from people who have bough this same item seem to have good reviews, now i know its just words, an you can believe everything you read, but i guess its a gamble if you buy form eBay.


an yea totally i agree with you Mcmaddy, deffo gonna be careful if i finally decide to get it, regarding the fitting.

Not sure if DAP are shipping to UK as they are US based. I know I enquired with them for an Austin about two years ago and they where only shipping to US.

..........or you could be 100% sure of fit and finish and go for these genuine VW items. Quite a price, though, after Brexit!

Think I'd try a wrap. A lot of the final look depends on the application, direction of the weave etc. Wouldn't cost too much and you can always rip it off if it didn't come up to par.

All these price hikes due to Brexit are complete bulls4it and total opportunism. Nothing's happened yet so why should prices change!!

But, last time I looked, the exchange rate was still significantly lower than pre June 23rd. Sadly, the prices for the Kunzmann parts are in Euros, so we have to take the hit at the going rate.
