@ Gnasher - I knew you where the man to answer this so Thank You for your very informative reply, much appreciated.

Rimstyle do a set of black locking wheel bolts for a £10er extra will these be ok..?

The bolt covers from Skoda, do you have a part number(s) for the covers and removal tool..? or is it case of popping in and asking..

Also in one of your pics of your wheels you mention you run 235 tyres but rimstyle don't seem to offer 235's only 225's will the stretch be that noticeable..?

Or would you recommend buying the tyres seperately and getting fitted...?

Thanks

I got everything separate (it worked out cheaper and I'm tight).

I got my wheels from a German ebay seller (Reifen Gesell - although the spelling might not be right) and the tyres from Camskill Tyres and got a place local (who I trust with big alloys) to fit them.

I'll ping you my email address on PM and you could send me an email to reply to with all the links of where I got mine from if you want? It's definitely worth checking, although you'd have to factor in fitting of the tyres to any calculations you make.

Edit - and I just pointed to some bolt covers in the showroom to get them lol.

Personally I'd definitely not run 225 tyres on 8.5" wheels.
235's sit nice and square on 8" wheels & are the minimum you'd want to run on 8.5's.

Tyreleader and several other German stockists used to have the best prices for BBS wheels but with the £ versus Euro not looking too healthy these days I'm not sure who would be best to supply a set of SR's.
A quick look through eBay using a whole of Europe search might be a good idea then see if the dealers will cut you a discount if you buy direct.

Wheel bolt covers and the U shaped puller are cheap and easily available from SEAT and Skoda dealers in black or if you want dark grey then Audi dealers do the same part in that shade but not black.
The U shape puller was about £1.75 when I last bought one and the wheel nut covers are about 30p each, all plus VAT.
People do sell them in sets on eBay for about £20 making a good ol' profit I'd think.
Alternatively if you have a TPS nearby just grab the registration number of a car that has them fitted as standard and pop to TPS.

Just messaged Steve - not really any saving over rimstyle unless you count the fact I based mine on 235s rather than 225s (£20 difference on the Goodyear Asymmetric 3s) - I personally think 225s are too narrow for the rims though.

Apologies - just realised we've taken over the OP's thread  :embarrassed:

Thanks for the heads up, yeah I've been to TPS recently to pickup one on those 12V thingys...so the number plate idea is a good one...thanks

Thanks Graham again for your email and yeh I'm going to stick with the 235's...

I've just received your pic so thank you..

I'm sure the OP will be ok as I checked before I posted up in here as I think it's a "general'' wheel thread...

You should save about 10% in your local TPS vs VW dealership parts department, maybe you can save 30% if you have a friend in the car trade that can order them for you via their trade account (a mate at a local bodyshop perhaps?)

Those nut covers have a ridge moulded into them that makes it easier to get them off. I bought a set for the wife's A1 for when it is running 15" VW Polo wheels on winter tyres rather than its regular 16s.
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

I like the look of those AEZ Raise  in 19s. Whats the quality like and it asks what offset? Is it ET45 for a Gti? (Mk7)

Edit, also those AEZ straight in 19s satin graphite look good.
