Mk2 Golf GL Replacement Exhaust

Hi all,

I've come across a series of holes in the exhaust system of my Mk2 Golf GL and I'm finding it difficult to find a suitable replacement.

A few dealers on eBay have said that the Mk2 exhausts they currently have for sale wouldn't be compatible, which is rather odd.

The Golf doesn't have a Cat and is a 1991 1.8 8v.

My question is, would a Mk2 GTI 8v exhaust replace the original?

You could google the vw part numbers to try to find other suppliers.
