Wheel fitment
« on: 02 September 2016, 10:27 »
Hi folks new to this..

Was wondering if someone could help me with wheel fitment as I can't get my head around it.

If im to buy 16"  8j et20 for the fronts and 16"9j et 20 for the rear, running 205/45 would they fit?

Thanks .

It would look daft even if they do fit, especially on a fwd car.
Suffering from a severe and unforgiving case of GTItis

Theres a fair few mk3 golfs run staggard wheels and look alright. Your factory wheels will be around the et 36 mark so these other wheels are 16mm closer to the hub. But youd not notice because of the width

What offset are your wheels though? Also youll be running same width tyre id say or close to it so will have more stretch. Im sure my mate had 9inch all round on his mk3 with 205 tyres but cant remember the offset
