Eco just makes the accelerate feel really laggy, no MPG difference on my GTD.
Normal is as described, just normal. Sound Aktuator is off.
Sport is my favourite. Fast throttle response and I'm one of the few who doesn't mind the sound Aktuator.
Individual is just a setting in which you can edit settings, for instance have engine in sport but ACC in Eco.

My gti pp is always in sport mode, I actually thought the throttle response was lacking even in sport but a pedal box has fixed that.

Eco is rubbish. I will use normal on the motorway when just a peaceful cruise is required. Don't use sport anymore as I don't like the heavier steering so mostly use individual with everything set as in sport except for the steering.

I run mine in individual pretty much all the time. All settings to normal apart from DCC and soundaktor in comfort.

Sport mode most of the time as my daily commute is on B roads. No soundaktor for me, my Remus exhaust gives all the sound I need. Normal mode on motorway cruise. Never used Eco as I haven't noticed any difference compared to Normal mode.

Use Normal most of the time.  Sport when my wife is not in the car.  Used ECO once when my speed limiter (wife) was also in the car and though I had got caught by a speed camera while overtaking on dual carriageway but luckily had not. ECO too laggy on reponse which is why I use Normal mainly.

Never use Eco. Its laggy and doesn't actually save any fuel as far as i am concerned (and I do like a bit of fuel saving!)

Normal mode most of the time, sport sometimes.

Use individual with DCC on sport when fully loaded with car and roofbox - car is too wallowy otherwise.

Messed with settings on my leon fr never noticed any difference apart from the colour change on the doors, gtd is left in sport mode all the time.

Generally leave mine in Comfort mode for inner-city and motorway driving, Sport mode for everything else.

I tried Eco mode on a long motorway run and compared it to the same journey in Comfort mode and I actually got better MPG on Comfort - plus in Comfort I didn't feel like I was driving a 1.2 litre car pulling a trailer! Eco mode just seems a complete waste on a GTI and it's something just to tick a box to show VW are trying to help cut feel consumption etc. You can still be efficient with the fuel in the other modes if you drive sensibly and that's what you're trying to achieve, whilst still having a car that responds.
