Performance or Performance Launch?

Hi All,

Just sorting insurance out for my GTI which I pick up this week but am a little confused. There are 2 options for the car. Theres a GTI Performance Launch TSI 230 and a GTI Performance TSI 230? Both are DSG and theres about a £50 difference between the two. Any ideas?

Hi There,

I think the difference is that the GTI Performance launch is the launch model which did not have emergency city braking radar as standard, hence the higher price. The GTI Performance TSI 230 option is the GTI PP with the City braking radar fitted. Yours is the second option and hopefully the cheaper insurance quote due to been safer in the insurance companys minds ! Hope this helps

Thanks for that. Makes sense. Didn't realise the radar wasn't on the original models.
