have some with a couple of thousand off.
Looks like £1,940 off list and in addition a £2,000 deposit contribution if bought on a PCP?  Doubt if that is right?

I don't think there is deposit contribution on a CS (there def wasn't when order books opened).

I've tried to love a 981 and driven at great length a 2.7 manual and a PDK, the manual is hideously overgeared and all the power is at the top end so it's not a great mix.
PDK takes away the stress of being in the right gear but has to be driven in Sport mode as normal is emissions cheating configuration and to make progress at a half decent rate it kicks down sometimes 4 gear which isn't conducive to discreet progress (especially in the racing yellow one I drove!).

An S might be better but they are so much dearer and a lot rarer second hand - around £10k extra new IIRC.

But residuals are exceptional thanks to Porsche policy of little or no discounting although not sure the 718's demand at least in the longer term will see that continue.

At least the 718 has more torque which what that car really needed but without the six pot as others have said it just doesn't have its old USP.

yea I have heard the 2.7 is well overgeared.. I suspect having lived with the 330d's 420 lb ft of torque and 8 speed ZF box which is, frankly, the best engine / gearbox combination I think I have ever had in terms of a match made in heaven (every gear drops you in max torque zone around 2000 rpm), driving a low torque stretched gearing cayman might be frustrating !

Still I am looking forward to driving the 718 in September.  I get the nay sayers about the engine but it will be more drivable and there is a considerable spec increase on the new cars (brakes from the old cayman S etc) to the point £4k or so is all I need in options, and with 4-5% maybe off, I can see it landing around £42k which isn't that bad.

So I rang Arnold Clark (Bathgate) yesterday to buy a Clubsport based on the offer outlined in their link.  The salesman said he would check it out then ring me back to confirm the deal.  Surprise, surprise, no phone call back and the link is now saying the car had been sold.
