I've used a PDR specialist four or five times over the years and have been very impressed.I don't think I'd buy the tools though and have a go myself,be like giving a monkey a gun.Much better to leave this sort of thing to the experts.

Yeah I have had it done the old fashioned way but this is a new concept to me. I couldnt resist so I have just bought one but I will not use on mine unless I have practiced first on the wifes car.

Saw Ed China using something similar on Wheeler Dealers (Dicovery Channel). Brilliant, if you know what you're doing, but I bet you could make a mess. I'll practice on your car!

Better to keep your money and give it to a PDR expert on the rare (hopefully!) occasion you get a dent IMO.

they are a good piece of kit if you use them  right  , great for box section where there is no access from the behind the panel .   practise is essential .
it may be worth getting a scrap body panel to play with until you get the hang of it , if your not careful  you end up with a big lump , best doing it in small goes until you get it somewhere near
also be warned that some times you can pull the paint of with the peg
I know from experience spent 37 yrs doing  PDR  so seen it all
Oh and don't forget that glue sticks to fingers as well  ouch

I don't know if you watched the video right through but when the 2nd peg on the glue fell off you could clearly see the dent was still there.
Then he wiped it and the dent had miraculously gone.

You did PDR for a living? I always assumed you were indeed a physio, or do you do both? Clever chappie!

Care to share any hints and tips? My old car has more ripples than a lake during a gale down the sides so that would be a good car to practice on! The poor thing has had nearly 20 years of work and supermarket car parks, been arse ended (only at parking speed so not badly damaged), clipped by an artic on the front wing and bumper and god knows what else in its life.

I remember the PDR guy that I use telling me that dent removal on older cars is much more difficult or even impossible. Something to do with the way the panels are made nowadays makes PDR much more feasible.
