Hi all, Been a bit of a lurker but wanted to share a project.
So thanks to the inspiration from the XUJI Steering wheel thread on a certain other popular VW website, I decided to go ahead and order the following. To be honest I mainly done this to cover the smoke/tar smell from the steering wheel because I got the car used and no amount of cleaning with APC was removing the smell! -

And the result...
I found this quite difficult to install, it took about 4.5 hours! It looks great and it feels great as it has a proper thickness now. Its not perfect though around the DSG paddles and to be honest I am quite happy to let it go as it was my own handywork anyway. Even after the install I am still not sure how to tuck in the extra material next to the DSG paddles.
Overall I am very happy with this and I would recommend it if you like tinkering with your car. I don't regret getting it and not being able to finish it off at the DSG paddles properly!
