What have people told their insurance companies regarding the pedal box? Do most know what they are/do?

I haven't bought one yet but have run it passed my insurer, Direct Line. They were fine with it so long as I declared it but would not charge any extra as it doesn't increase the engine's power.

My insurance (DL) went down by £1.60 when I declared mine.

I set my on Sport +2 and haven't played with it since, might have a play with Sport+ over the weekend.

Fitted today in 5 minutes. Started with sport plus +2 and had to knock it down to sport plus +1. Well chuffed with the difference it has made. Will give it a proper run this weekend.

I've got mine set to that. It's still feels very aggressive on acceleration

Is that a yes you have got the OK from them? Did it cost you extra? How did you explain it as they have said they won't cover it to me?

If you got it from DTUK ask them the best way to describe it to the insurance company as I'm sure you're not the first to have problems.
