rear camera module, unplug? fuse?
« on: 20 June 2016, 10:53 »
Hi,

So we've narrowed down the battery drain issue on my car down to a faulty camera module, and it's controller. I need to unplug them or take them somewhere to be tested, problem is the mk6 reverse camera has no fuse, it's hard wired in.

what shall I do, as it's driving my dad nuts as he uses it as his daily, jump starting the car daily is a bit of a ball ache in the rain!

Is there a connector on back of the head unit to the reverse camera that tells the camera to switch on when reverse is selected? Maybe you can remove that

I don't have the OEM reverse camera so am not too sure
