4 doors for me. The 2 door looks likes someones forgot the other 2 doors
Strangely, the 2 door Seat Leon looks far better than the 4 door in my opinion.

Three door is better for me both aesthically and practically. I'm tall so the B pillar is further back so I don't have to look around it.

Probably the 3 door, but from some angles it looks a bit dumpy or "unfinished" or something.

Fortunately the 5 door is still a good looker and when it comes to a bit of practicality it's the only choice.

If its just for 1 or 2 people, 3 door looks better... although the longer door can be a b!tch in a tight car park.

I don't get a choice, company insists on 5 doors "in case i have to take a client out" - which i never do!

Both 3 and 5 doors suit the Golf.  Personal preference is for 5 door, not just from the obvious practical aspect but actually think it looks better, more aesthetically and proportionally balanced.

5 Door FTW.

Really don't understand why they even still make a 3 door.

The Golf is supposed to be a practical car, really cant see how its practical in 3 door? Same with the A3, 1 series etc.

Hopefully soon they will go the way the Focus did and offer a 5 door only.

Same here, but also I can't imagine how difficult the larger doors, on the 3 door, must be with the stupid "one click" door stays. How have they survived so long without being modded, and what was wrong with having 3 clicks?

Both look good, but for me it's a 5 door on the golf.  I am also tall, find the viewing angles fine on a 5 door and the added bonus is I can get the door to open further when parked in a car park so I can my size 12 feet out easier.  There was nothing as awkward as trying to get out of a 3 door in a tight car park space.
