service plan registration
« on: 22 May 2016, 22:13 »
I paid £149 for the VW service plan (i.e. routine services for two years) when I collected the car two weeks ago.  Do I need to register this plan (policy?), or indeed do anything?  Or am I automatically "enrolled" by VW?  I did a search on here but couldn't find anything, so would appreciate any help, thanks.

I also did this when I bought my car, I collected 6 weeks ago and yesterday I got a letter from VWFS telling me my car had a service pack on it and what was included.

I haven't had a letter, but, when I registered on VWFS website, details were on there.

I never got anything for my GTD, but the dealer always asked, when it went in for service and never tried to charge me. The system seems to work OK.

Agree, I never have to take in paper work to prove I have service plan.  VW have it on their systems I have service plan and tell me before I have to prompt them.  It seems to work fine this way.
