Newbie with lots of questions.
« on: 10 May 2016, 21:22 »
Hi all, Newbie here with lots of questions.

I have been looking at used MK7 15/16 plate GTI Golfs for a while now but after doing some research it would seem you can get a new one for not far of the price of a used one with the deals available. I have a few questions any help, links or information you can provide would be a great help.

There seems to be some good deals on Drive the deal/Orange wheels, Do dealers match/better these?

It seems you can get some money of if you take out their finance, anyone done this then cancelled once they get the discount or is this not allowed in the contract?

I know options on the care are down to the Individual, but so far, I have gone for Performance pack/Parking pack/High beam/Dynaudio. Any others you think are a must for the car?

There used to be a winter pack with heated seats which i like but can not seem to find it or any option on heated seats apart from leather?

Thanks in advance for your help

Winter pack is now standard and you'll get a much better finance rate on a new car than you will on a used. Each dealer is different but if they want to sell you a car then they'll at least try to match a deal you can get from DRD or orangewheels etc.
TCR, Pure Grey, DCC, Dynaudio and Climate Screen.

My dealer matched DTD price and I'm sure some will beat them.
I took out the finance and cancelled it 2 days later. You have the right to do this and I would recommend that you do.

Thanks for the Info, That is why I can not find a heated seat option then.

as for the Finance it is worth doing as you say as it will mean you save an extra 2k off the price are there any charges for cancelling it though and paying it straight off?

Also keyless entry and push button start again no option is it standard now on both 3 door and 5 door please?

You have 14 days to settle the finance without penalty. At worst its like a day's interest. Well worth doing for the extra discount you get

Always boggled my mind as to why it's not available on the 3-door. Especially when it's available on the Scirocco.

£6 for a 2k saving sound rather damn good to me.

Im trying to find pics of Door sill protectors, someone mentioned these light up? are they an Option or Standard?

I did try and get a brochure today from VW but was told they no longer make them its all online
