Just been parked near to a carbon grey GTD and seeing the two together, I must say say I much prefer the GTI exhaust pipes.
The GTD look good but are the same as the A3 diesel pipes and many others across the ranges.
Two pipes on both sides like the R would be even better, especially if they were the GTI style pipes and not the oval R pipes.
Why do GTD owners want their car to look like a GTI ?
Am I missing something?
The GTI and GTD look pretty much identical apart from the pipes and diffuser, but the GTD's diffuser is very plain so changing it to a GTI style one just ties in the rear end with the front styling and keeps the pipes as they should be thus still differentiating the models "so it's a big yes from me"
I've never been a fan of the wheelbarrow handle pipes on the GTI which were nicked from the older Focus ST. The mk2 and mk5 had nice subtle pipes like the GTD. Mind you the bigger pipes on the ClubSport would probably look better.
