So should it really put the power down like this?
« on: 15 April 2016, 22:38 »
Well I've owned the Mk4 130pd for a few months and I've now started looking at how to make it perform better, I scanned with vag-com today and thankfully no faults were found and the live readings were all within normal scales. I then did some data logging which is where my question comes in.

Do these figures seem normal (ish)
RPM - Torque nm
1344 - 182
1449 - 222
1701 - 302
2079 - 340
2478 - 332
2835 - 318
3171 - 310
3465 - 298
3738 - 282
4011 - 272

As you can see peak torque is at 2100rpm and it does seem quite aggressive when the turbo spins up and it does seem to lag (I am comparing it to my old Seat 1.9pd although that was a mere 105ps!).
Oh and 340nm is above standard which I'm happy with and it is not chipped (it was a company car and only looked after at VW main dealers until I bought it)

Seems okay. Torque should tail off. It holds well from what I can see.
