I see Audi are mirroring BMW with a plethora of flaps all over the front ends.

Fingers crossed the R gets the improved engine, the 10PS might be a bit academic but the extra torque won't go amiss.

Just ordered my Golf R, guess it'll be really lucky if Volkswagen introduce the same 10bhp uplift before mine is built :(

I thought the revision would see the (optional) ACC sensor in a place less prone to damage, like behind the badging (as the Passat has).
Whey ya bugger! It's finally arrived after an 8 month wait....

The self steering feature makes me despair a bit.
With DSG, ACC and now autonomous steering why even bother owning a car? Save yourself a load of money and just dial up an uber cab when you go out if you really are at the stage where the car needs to drive itself.
I feel like a dinosaur. I've spent money on bits to make a manual car more tactile to dial out the fact VW have done an excellent job in disguising the power the engine is capable of putting out. The standard throttle pedal and clutch pedal are as sensitive as bath sponges so a pedal box and clutch stop were excellent investments. With a few other enhancements the car now feels how it should.
Ok, my coordination isn't the best in the world and when I have my DM work boots on (I have to cross a yard in work to fill the kettle so therefore it's deemed legally necessary for me to wear steelies in case an artic rolls over my toes) my driving is probably like performing ballet in deep sea diving boots but...

Then again maybe Audi has a point. Why should I perform aerobic exercises while at the wheel when I could just shove my hands in my pockets and leave the car to it?

Nah, b0ll0cks to it all, I'm downloading the uber app; anybody want to buy a low mileage manual R?
Yeah, they're a bit common but they're a great way of staying fit...

For anyone driving for a job then the traffic jam assist will be an absolute godsend!

I love ACC already, it really makes a difference to long old motorway journeys and I know that with DSG it would be even better.

Now all they need to do is to figure out a way of maybe getting the 20 speed DSG box working so that I can actually afford DSG on a company car (DSG adds to the CO2 figure at the moment, which when you add it to the cost of DSG makes it massively expensive for me). Mind you, increasingly driving any petrol or diesel company car will be expensive any way you skin it - the future BIK rates I've seen to 2020 are mad :(
