I have been having intermittent issues with the Discovery Nav MIB2 screen on my March 2016 GTI since I took ownership just under a month ago.

The Dicovery Nav MIB2 screen has had some extremely strange intermittent faults which cause it to jump/act strangely- this has been discussed on other forums including this one. Effectively in the morning and evening, when the temperature is under 8°C, the screen would start beeping and skipping tracks when in MEDIA with an SD card. This is intermittent, and does not happen 100% of the time.

My questions is;

When the fault on the screen still persists and Volkswagen cannot detect it using diagnostic equipemtn (and therefore refuse to act) after 3 trips to the garage, what options have I got left?

The car is still within the 30 days return period (just). Do I use this to have the screen replaced.

I have spoken to the garage on 3 occasions and the national VW help centre and both are not offering up a solution.

I am one very frustrated and disappointed Golf GTI owner right now.

This happened with the first MIB1 units as well - if you look through the forum you will find that.

It was always a combination of problems - buggy firmware and broken units. Either could have been the cause, but they were all ironed out in the end.
