Know this is an old thread, but I coded mine out this afternoon, with OBDEleven.

Only cost 10 credits, and is loads better, because I can't stand that fake sound.

Sounded like an old diesel engine, as others mentioned.
Even Eco setting was annoying. So I turned it off completely.

I'll get to hear a Turbo with Induction, now....... :grin:

im on my 3rd VW group car with a soundaktor

on the 2 diesels it was actually a bit funny cos it was so fake.

On the GTI there were times I thought i had a mechanical issue due to the noise from the thing.

all 3 switched off with vcds.

On my 4th GTI. I just physically unplugged the nonsense as the first thing I did.
2019 5Dr Mk7.5 Performance, DSG. Indium Grey with DCC, TCR lip spoiler.
