Cleaning wheel arches

Hello  all

What''s the best way of cleaning modern wheel arches, which manufacturers seem to think that using a sponge like material that grabs onto all the dirt and muck is a good idea 

My old MK4 with its plastic liners I would simply spray some APC on, agitate and then wash off

Any advice is appreciated

I pressure wash, snow foam, use an old mitt as far as I can reach, then pressure wash to rinse.

I pressure wash, snow foam and combination of long handled wheel brush and wheel mitt in the front plastic arches (if needed, jet wash and snow foam brings most of the dirt off).

For the horrible carpety rear arches it's a bit more tricky - same process but as said you need a more rigid brush to loosen the stuff that sticks like glue to the carpet liner!  Don't use your best wheel brush or mitt on this as you'll end up scratching your alloys.  Keep something specifically just for that rear arch area.

Got my Wheel Woolies and Wo-Wo wheel mitt for my wheels so no fear of them being used on the arches
