Loyalty dealership visit Golf GTI PCP.

Hi all,

Had a call from JCT600 Volkswagen's Loyalty team to come in to discuss my PCP and what I plan to do, December is when my PCP deal is up.

Is this normal as I've never had to go in to discuss my PCP in the past so soon?
Are Volkswagen offering good deals to retain customers?

Any good deals to be had if I decided to hand my GTI back in and upgrade to a say Golf R 5dr DSG or another GTI PP?
What about the GTI Clubsport.
I definitely want DSG for the Golf R but perhaps manual for the GTI's.
5 doors is a must though.

I was waiting for the Golf R400 but haven't heard anything since so has that been scrapped?

They are offering £1000 loyalty bonus if ordered before the end of march, thats not just pcp though so maybe they're going to try and get you to change early? ???

Perhaps, I got a good deal on my GTI PP original back in 2013 as they managed matched the DTD price plus AutoGlym Lifeshine thrown in with a discounted GAP insurance.
But with all the negative publicity with the VW scandal I'm pretty sure it's affected the resale value of my GTI so if they want me to stick with them they will have to try harder to offer a great deal. (They probably won't)
Worst case scenario I could move to another GTI but 5dr and reduce my monthly payments (36m PCP) again.
Ideally a Golf R400 would be what I want to upgrade to but it's all gone quiet on that front.
When is the MK8 R out?
Would getting a Golf R now mean there is little life-span left in it until the MK8 R comes out?

Hi Riz,

We seem to talk about new cars at the same time. That's funny I have just been down to my dealer tonight as had that phone call last Thursday. They have some cars that are in stock which they are looking to shift. I said I would only swap for an R, 3 door with Prets and manual but open on colours. They came back with a white one with Nav and with current discounts on that they offered me 1000 loyalty discount and 1250 percent discount. Obviously on top of that there is room for extra discount of which I did a few quotes on car wow and they offer about another 2000.

For me I was holding out for the GTI Clubsport as I have the same big birthday as the GTI in July so thought it would be a nice present, but that deal is tempting.

You're missing a decimal point there somewhere, or the dealership gave you a free car and stuck £400k in your bank account!  :grin:

Hopefully you'll get the deposit contribution too. If you're a cash buyer then take out the PCP and settle within 14 days of collecting your car to retain the deposit contribution and pay a fiver a day in interest.
