What Air Filter Should I Buy For My 16v?
« on: 18 March 2016, 02:11 »
Hello, I've had this Mk2 for about 3 months & its my first car, I really want to put a lot of time into it & I was wondering what would be the best Air Filter for it (Any price range) I've been looking at Pipercross but wanted to get others opinions first, thanks guys!

Stick to OEM as Pipercross etc don't have any real benefit.

Yeah haha, if there's no induction kit I can get for it I was going to get a different k&n panel filter for it, at the moment I'm not really trying to add power, its just the panel filter takes up a lot of room in the bay :3

If its kr engime and no a abf your stuck with the airbox, u used to have a smoothed airbox with k n n and a cold airfeed from the bumper through the wing.

Modded airbox (front & outboard sides cut out) combined with a K&N element will sound lovely & give you a couple of BHP.

With that setup a k-jet mk2 16v flows enough (in 2L guise) to exceed 180bhp so it's a proven setup👍🏻
