LOWERING ON 19" RIMS
« on: 27 September 2005, 09:51 »
HI, I HAVE JUST FITTED SOME 19" OZ SUPERTURISMOS TO MY MOTOR. THEY ARE FITTED WITH 205 35 TYRES, THE ONLY TROUBLE IS IT LOOKS LIKE A LAND ROVER ITS SO HIGH I KEEP HITTING SEA GULLS AS I DRIVE ALONG.
I WANT TO LOWER IT BUT DONT KNOW HOW MUCH I CAN WITHOUT AFFECTING THE WHEEL ARCHES AND TURNING CIRCLE, ANY ADVICE WOULD BE NICE.TA
The golf is an object of admiration

Chimp you lucky bugger,  have you got any pics.  I think I have also seen Golfs with 19's and sucking tarmac.

What about those adjustable shocks.  By using them you can knock over seaguls on Sunday and scrape up dog turd on Tuesday

Please post the pics

You should be able to lower it 50-60mm easy as with the lower profile tyre the overall diameter will be preaty much the same as 18's with a 40 profile.  Just get some coilovers then you can play about

205 35 Tyres on 19's????

I think they might be 235's dont you think

drop it 40mm, got 19's on mine & dropped 40m on H&R springs, no problems!
