My beautiful, night blue gti was stolen in the middle of the night. They put the back door in and stole the keys, along with the wife's bag and purse. 2000 miles on the clock and absolutely loved that car.

Insurance have said they will swap like for like and have asked for a Carbon Grey one. I took out the alloy protection, minor scratch cover and service plan and vw were utter pains in letting me transfer it across to the new car.

Got in on PCP

Gutted. Just gutted

Awful news mate but on a plus side nobody was hurt and the cars getting replaced.

Where abouts roughly are you based to give others the heads up.

Not sure mate .Don't have a courtesy car as part of insurance which is utterly stupid of me. Just always liked carbon grey.

Gutted for you mate. I've had security lights fitted and am installing cctv very shortly in readiness for my GTI arriving.
I'm also going to buy a new disklok.
None of it should be necessary but the worlds full of scumbags unfortunately.
Hope u new car arrives quickly and hangs around a lot longer.

Sorry to hear this bud.  Same happened to me 4 weeks ago today - GTD taken.

I've added a bunch of new security at the house - but still don't feel I've the balls to get another decent car....

Good news your replacement is on the way - I've a 6 week wait till it gets written off and I can choose what to do about replacing it.

So sorry to hear of the theft of your GTI.  Hope you and family are ok.

Hope the replacement gets sorted quickly and as painlessly as possible.  Carbon Grey is beautiful and I think it's a good idea to start afresh with a different colour.

I don't blame you for getting a different colour, I would too, seeing an identical car everyday would  wind me up. The new one is less likely to be reminding you every time you see it.

I too would be destroyed such sad news. Chin up nobody got hurt, fingers crossed the new one lasts longer. There have been a few burglaries near my parents house and now they are paranoid and it wasn't even their house.(not taking cars but Jewellery).
