Hi peeps recently had cam belt done but now get a whining noise any ideas what's wrong. It sounds like it's coming from the alternator any help would be appreciated

Could possibly be the tensioner for either the alternator or the cam belt. Either way I'd be taking back and informing the garage that did the work of the new noise

It's been done for a couple of months and done roughly about 8000 miles since its been done so do you thinks it's still the tensioner
