Just Got My Build Week!

I started this thread over 18 weeks ago and now, after having my car for a couple of months, I can tell you guys, still posting here, after over 50 pages and over 500 posts, that you have a lot to look forward to and later enjoy.

My dealer has contacted me and advised 'unbelievably' (their words) my car is already on the boat for arrival in the UK by Monday.

Mine should be built on week 24 which ends tomorrow, yet no "Built" notification (although I haven't access to as detailed info as some UK members have posted). Is it possible that building starts and completes tomorrow or it means it's moving to the next week for some reason? Is it common for build weeks not to be respected?

Try asking on online chat. My car was built and the online tracker just showed the build week

When mine showed the build week it was rescheduled built few weeks earlier and it shipped the same week..

Just got build week confirmed as 01/08/16 for my Golf R.  What build lead times are you guys seeing at the moment for your cars.  Is it around 5 to 6 weeks from build week to delivery or will it be a shorter time scale?

I have been checking the online tracker daily as this is my build week, checked at 7:30 and still showing Build Week confirmed, then a hour later had a text to say 'reached 5a - in transit'. 5 weeks for order to build, lets see how long it takes to get to me this time.

All good in the end. Contacted the dealer, logged in their system and said the car was in fact built this Wednesday and is now awaiting at the harbor, so probably two more weeks until delivery. If that's true it has only become better and better since placing the order.

First we estimated a week 31, then confirmed week 24 so delivery mid July, now even end of June seems possible, can't wait
