I went stage 6 over the weekend, hopefully not long to go now! Interestingly she entered the country at Grimsby when the dealer is on the south coast - I'm surprised it didn't come in at Sheerness?

Mine is on Teesside, and has been since last Thursday. The tracker says it normally takes 10 days from landing to get to the dealer, so I have been ringing daily, to check for a delivery! My dealer is as frustrated as me, though, as they have 11 cars overdue. Apparently they often get no warning of when a delivery is to arrive - the transporter just turns up!

How can it be that a £250,000 delivery of cars can be less easilly tracked than a £10 book from Amazon?

In the end, it'll come when it comes, but, bloody hell, this is frustrating!

Yeah I got my tracker update telling me the car was in the UK and the dealer also phoned to tell me they would be looking at another week before it got to the dealer.
Next day I got the stage 7 text saying it was with the dealer!!!!

Like you say, how can they track £10 items more precisely  Although I reckon the dealers know but just blame it on the transporters.

How did you find out which port it came in at??

The dealer had a record of which boat it was on and when it was leaving - I was then able to track it online.

Interesting reading through this thread.  I have a Golf GTI PP 5 door in Tornado Red with 19s on order.  Ordered it on February 28th.  Confirmed build week 11th April so proper excited now!!

I ordered my Golf R on 13th March and just got confirmation of 18th April build week.

Interesting reading through this thread.  I have a Golf GTI PP 5 door in Tornado Red with 19s on order.  Ordered it on February 28th.  Confirmed build week 11th April so proper excited now!!

I ordered mine on Jan 29th and my build week is........April 11th.  Do they reserve build slots to build UK spec cars as a batch, I wonder?  I thought car production these days was all JiT, everything built to order rather than in batches.  Mustard, you ordered six weeks after me but your build week is only one week later.  I don't really mind, it just seems a bit random.

It is likely his dealer had a build slot that he could changed the spec of the car.

Bubba what's your spec? I ordered my GTI Jan 27th and it should be with the dealer by the end of the week! Certain options can cause different delays. I didn't spec too much - 5dr, DSG, PP, Met paint & reversing camera.
