My car has just gone from a status of build in progress to build week confirmed. Going backwards is an interesting concept.

On Sunday mine changed to in-transit shipping. Dealer advises me pick up end of March.

how long does it take from "with the factory" to build week confirmed???  stage 2 to stage 3?  :laugh: :laugh: :laugh:

There are too many variables to give a time.
Your dealer might not have any allocation left or be a small franchise so can't order than many.
But it will go to build week confirmed generally 4 weeks before it is built.
Ask your dealer for an order number and what your provisional build week is. Or tweet vwuk with your order number and they will tell you

I think it only takes 24hrs to get from Germany (unless I'm getting one from Mexico) over to the UK so I dread to think. I just get the impending doom that this is going to be a nightmare and I should have gone RS. Hopefully not ..

Ahhhh! Just logged on to the tracker and my "confirmed" build week has changed from 22nd of Feb to the 29th!
Talking to my dealer yesterday about transit times and he said, as others have, that it depends on whether the car catches the current boat, or has to wait for the next one, as they are 3 weeks apart.
