Just Got My Build Week!

Mine is currently being built - anybody know when it will be available to pick upon from dealer? The agreement says the end of March hopefully it'll be sooner.

 its usually about  4 weeks from leaving the factory to arriving at dealers , depends  when the next ship is  due to sail  our way

I think I am partially to blame for some of the delays to be honest.
I ordered my car in the middle of October but told the dealer I didn't want to take delivery until March.
Obviously this meant that they wouldn't actually place the order until much later to prevent having a car rattling round the dealership for 2 months.
I don't suppose getting a tracking number after 5 days speeded the delivery process up anyway did it ?
I am very happy with the salesman I have been dealing with up to now and the process appears to be exactly as it was when I ordered my A3 in 2006.

You are right, getting the tracking number doesn't speed up the delivery but having a dealer/sales person keep you informed says a lot and as you said yourself yours isn't. I wouldn't be happy with that but as you don't mind then it doesn't matter.

Although can be quicker. Someone on here picked up their car 10 days from when the tracker turned to "build in progress" which is good going.     

I'm sure I picked mine up 2 weeks from when it turned to "In Transit"

Any updates so far this week p3asa on your order? Mine still says build week confirmed 08/02/2016.

Mine was build week 01-02-16 but when I logged in it told me 08-02-16   
So nothing happened week beginning the 1st then on the 8th it turned to "Build in progress" 
Although its been like that all week which is surprising as it only usually stays at that for a couple of days.
Another GTI I was watching from the same retailer turned to "Build in progress" on Monday then "In transit" on Wednesday so maybe my updates have stuck as that happened with my GTD.

Just had a text/email to notify of my build date, 29th of February, is the general opinion is that it's about 4 weeks from that date until it gets to the dealers??  I've got to sell my current car so going to have to get that advertised next week.

It seems I've got 2 build weeks, on the tracker site it says 29/02/16 and on the email I've been sent it says 07/03/16

my car has moved into build over night   
my e mail date was 8 feb
my tracker date was 15 feb
car ordered on 1 dec

Snap mine has just jumped to 'Build in Progress'

Mine is stage 4 of 7 apparently.
Bummer as I'd hoped to get it sooner.
