Back to standard
« on: 30 January 2016, 11:05 »
Hi all.

I'm putting my 1.8t back to standard to try to cure the incredibly harsh ride that I've got, I've managed to sort standard shocks and also have done drop links and bottom arms. The steering is now a lot lighter but the ride hasn't improved.

The next two things I'm going to try are standard springs and if that doesn't cure it I'll look at going back to the 16" alloys with a normal tyre instead of the 18s with low profile that's on at the moment.

I'm after some standard springs if anyone has any, I can't believe the cost from VW or even places like euro car parts, I'm happy to pay but don't want to waste money on doing something that may not fix my issue!

Thanks in advance!

Jack

Yeah GSF is coming out at £151.81 and car parts 4 less at £139.48 It's something that I'd rather buy second hand as I don't have over a tonne to spend on something that may npt cure the problem!

I'm hoping that people have like me their car on lowering springs or coilovers and have their standard springs hidden away in a garage or shed somewhere who wouldn't mind letting them go for a a fair price!

Fingers crossed!

Waiting for some pictures from him for the 2.0 as the 1.8 ones have seen better days to be polite!

Cheers for your help so far!
